the new data protection laws which apply to all business use of internet basically exclude the use of servers in the USA.
If your intention is to drive large or massive amounts of traffic to your website, there are various upgrades to handle this from both providers. However Namecheap don’t have the really big upgrades available from UK server farms.
UK hosting costs more, namecheap don’t charge much more for the privilege & they are an activist company with an agenda that favours ‘mom & pop’ businesses over monopolistic corporate interests.
Both providers can move your entire web thing with all it’s settings and data round their server farms quickly & with ease. Moving between providers is also possible as they both want to steal each others business, by offering free “migrate to us” services.
Both Providers use the Web Host Manager software so your complete data set is compatible between the two.
